I’m very excited to share the videos from the debut of our weekly dance with you. Check back regularly because I will be posting each recap from both classes here on my website, on my Youtube Channel, and Facebook.
Those who really know me know I have a special place in my heart for the throwback songs of the 90’s. In this video from Summer Hummer 2013, the leaders were given the opportunity to choose their music prior to choosing their Jack and Jill partner. Not many events do this and although you can argue it doesn’t allow for a true genuine Jack and Jill because you shouldn’t really know the song you’re gonna get, it does provide for a very eclectic mixture of songs in the competition and the theory is that it should provide for a very good show. The difficulty in selecting our own song is that you still don’t know who you will be dancing with. Knowing my selection was “Motownphilly” by Boyz II Men, the follower that shares my love for the same genre of music was of course Courtney Adair. You will see both of us are extremely happy to draw each other and she was also just as happy to discover the song I had chosen. I hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed dancing. ~Arjay
